The ForMe Door presents different types of panels – single-sided panel, double-sided panel, panel inserted inside/outside – with different structural characteristics, and the possibility of having glazed elements inside, to intensify their thermal insulation.
ForMe panels can be assembled both on systems with a prepared door frame and on generic aluminium and PVC profiles.

TYPES OF PANELS

SINGLE-SIDED PANEL

Option to have glazed elements in the panel with triple glazing with high insulation and very thin sealing.
Sheets with standard laminated glass and gas in the further insulated chambers with warm edge profile.
High quality surface coating.
Externally, the leaf is hidden and the surface is uniform and flat with the frame structure. Internally it is inserted inside the leaf.

DOUBLE-SIDED PANEL

Possibility to have the same design internally and externally with engravings and/or inserts.
Glass elements inserted in the panel with triple glazing with high insulation with very thin sealing.
Sheets with standard laminated glass and gas in the further insulated chambers with warm edge profile. High quality surface coating. Panel is flat both internally and externally.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INSERTED PANEL

Option to have glazed elements in the panel with triple glazing with high insulation and very thin sealing.
Sheets with standard laminated glass and gas in the further insulated chambers with warm edge profile.
High quality surface coating.
The panel is inserted from both sides into the leaf, then visibly closed on both sides by the hinged profile.

MANUFACTURING AND ASSEMBLY

ForMe panels can be assembled both on systems with a prepared door frame and on generic aluminium and PVC profiles.
In the case of aluminium and PVC profiles, the glass flap must be removed, as shown in the following figures.
To place an order you will need to fill out an order form, in which you must indicate, in addition to the finished size of the LxH panel, also the overlap dimension “S” and if you need to use frame covers.
The trims are 3 mm thick and the width in ML is to be specified when ordering. The trims will be supplied 150mm longer than the H size and 50mm longer than the L size of the panel. The application of the trims on the frame will be done using sealants or double-sided adhesive tapes tested by ForMe.

ADHESION INSTRUCTIONS

PHASE 1 – SANDING
Sand the surface of the frame and panel with sandpaper.

STEP 2 – CLEANING SURFACES
Remove the sanding dust with the microfibre cloth. It must be very clean and free from any other impurities or residues.

STEP 3 – PRIMER PREPARATION
AScrew the felt applicator cap onto the tube of the Primer Sika 207 and press on it to soak the product.

STEP 4 – PRIMER APPLICATION
Apply a thin but uniform film of Primer Sika 207, applied in one direction only, on all the surfaces of the frame to be glued (both leaf and panel).
A thin film is obtained by passing it once over the surface with the applicator soaked with the solution. The surfaces must be completely covered by the Primer. Avoid overlapping layers of primer.

PRIMER DRYING TIME:
Waiting time (airing)
Upper temperature + 15° = 10 Minutes
Lower temperature + 15° = 30 Minutes
Maximum 24 hours

STEP 5 – ADHESIVE APPLICATION
Take the Sikaflex-221 and place it on the frame trims with three pieces of zigzag tape.

STEP 6 – FITTING THE PANEL ON THE FRAME
Place the door on the frame and adjust it properly, taking care that the panel is well positioned and the cylinder mechanics line up properly.
Do not wait any longer than 10 minutes between applying the adhesive and attaching the panel.

STEP 7 – APPLICATION OF WEIGHTS OR CLAMPS TO ALLOW UNIFORM BONDING
For correct adhesion, the panel must be pressed evenly around the entire adhesive edge. We recommend using weights distributed around the whole edge and/or alternatively using applied clamps with a metal or wooden tube.
A gap of at least 1 mm must be left between the profile and the sheet metal. If the frames used are not prepared, shims should be used.
The waiting time before removing the fastening should be at least 4 hours. After that at least 8 hours must pass before the glued parts can take stress. Wait 12 hours in total before moving or turning the door.
